  1.                    Unprotect for Test Drive (IBM PC)

  4.  BE SURE TO BACKUP YOUR TEST DRIVE DISK BEFORE STARTING AND USE THE
  5.  BACK UP FOR THE UNPROTECT. THIS WAY IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG THEN YOU
  6.  ARE NOT OUT A GAME..........
  7.  
  8.  First you should rename the file tdcga.exe to tdcga
  9.  
  10.      C>rename tdcga.exe tdcga
  11.  
  12.  Next Load tdcga into debug...
  13.  
  14.      C>debug tdcga
  15.  
  16.  Then Follow the sample debug session:
  17.  
  18.      -e 70D6                    :   Edit the contents of address 70D6
  19.  
  20.      XXXX:70D6  55.             :   Should appear
  21.                                 :   If 55 does not appear.. press enter and
  22.                                 :   quit immediately.  This unprotect is not
  23.                                 :   for your version of Test Drive.
  24.  
  25.  Now type "31" then press the SPACE bar.
  26.  
  27.      XXXX:70D6  55.31   56.     :   Should appear
  28.                                 :   If 56 does not appear.. press enter and
  29.                                 :   quit immediately.
  30.  
  31.  Now type "C0" then press the SPACE bar.
  32.

  34.      XXXX:70D6  55.31   56.C0   :   Should appear
  35.      XXXX:70D8  57.             :   If 57 does not appear.. press enter and
  36.                                 :   quit immediately.

  38.  Now type "C3" then press the ENTER key.

  40.  Now write the new tdcga game back to the disk:

  42.      -w  <Enter>
  43.  
  44.      Writing XXXX bytes
  45.  
  46.  Then Quit Debug:
  47.  
  48.      -q  <Enter>
  49.  
  50.  Now it is time to rename tdcga back to tdcga.exe
  51.  
  52.      C>ren tdcga tdcga.exe
  53.  
  54.  Now try to run the new (Hopefully) unprotected version Of Test Drive

  56.      C>tdcga
